About What You Want - 12/06/01 Dom

I came up with the melody and the lyrics for the chorus whilst walking to work one morning the day after I got rejected by a lovely young lady I had a huge crush on! I wrote most of the lyrics at work that day, and finished it off when I got home that night.

I think it's so basic because I wrote it without playing an instrument. When I went to put music to it, those couple of chords just seemed to fit, so we thought we'd leave it as a very simple pop tune. I had fun playing the solo when recording, and I like the "Richard Clapton" tribute in the bridge section… see if you can find it…. "don't you slip…."
