Time Moves Faster - 9/11/01 Dom

I hadn't finished writing a song in almost two years. By November 2001 I had started lots of new ideas and had three new tunes completed. I played them to my brother (he is my most trusted good/bad song barometer). Al listened attentively and at the conclusion of the 3rd song, said something along the lines of "they're ok, but you need to write another Sometimes". Sometimes is a tune that appears on my first demo CD 241 Dead End, and my brother likes the song so much, he often plays it at gigs in his acoustic duo, The Bigs. I got home that night, sat in the bathroom, tuned my guitar to open G, pressed record on my MD recorder, and pretty much wrote the chords, melody and half of the lyrics of Time Moves Faster in one sitting. I went straight to the computer and wrote the rest of the lyrics out. It was easy to write because it's actually almost exactly the same as Sometimes! When I next saw my bro, I played him the song. He responded with "That's more like it!". I agree…
