I guess a number of my songs are about "personal growth"…? I sound like Anthony Robbins! But what I mean is just that notion of not only "why?", and "how?", but actually working towards making it better.
And I'm hardly alone in asking these sorts of things… everyone has "stuff" to deal with; their own, their friends', their partners'… I met someone through a friend of mine (and he DID warn me!) who became the catalyst for the song The One. She is a beautiful person with so much to offer, but doesn't quite seem able to get past her own "stuff" in order to reach her full potential. That, plus of course I was heart-broken; we weren't friends long enough for me to play her this song I wrote for her…
