FALLING

Sometimes;
I get a little bit lost and
Lonely, and kind of down
Sometimes;
I think of you only
And whether you'll come around
It's an;
Unusual situation
A no fun merry-go-round
Roll up;
This strange freak of nature
Five weeks and no sound
But, by heart and my mind are made up
Falling, I'm falling for sure
Everytime I think of you I fall a little more
Aching, I'm shaken to the core
Everytime I think of you I break a little more
It feels;
Like the plot from a B-grade
One slip, and no return
The thing;
You'll learn from this screenplay
Love's fire always burns.
"What could I have done to change the way you feel?
How could I have done things differently?
What would it take to prove that I'm the better deal?
And does it really matter anyway?"
But, how do you fight with feelings?
Falling, I'm falling for sure
Everytime I think of you I fall a little more
Aching, I'm shaken to the core
Everytime I think of you I break a little more
Watching
Waiting
Anticipating
Turning
Leaving
Now begins grieving
solo
Falling, I'm falling for sure
Everytime I think of you I fall a little more
Aching, I'm shaken to the core
Everytime I think of you I break a little more
Falling, I'm falling for sure
Everytime I think of you I fall a little more
About 'Falling' - '97 - 07/09/02 MattyB
I mostly wrote the music for this song back in '97 when I was on tour in China
part of
my "rider" for my o/s work was that I had to have my own bedroom, with a keyboard. Because
I was the main singer in the bands I took away, playing six nights a week, I couldn't really go
out partying after gigs for fear I'd screw up my voice. Instead I used to go home after the gigs
and work on my song writing.
The music for this song, including all the orchestral stuff, backing vocal "ahhs" and
all was entirely completed with no thought of how lyrics were going to fit with it
consequently
none were written for YEARS!
Then I met a girl, and the rest as they say, is history
and how!
I developed a huge crush on somebody, and to cut a long story short, when I turned up at the airport
to surprise her she didn't show. I drove from there to the beach at Pt Ormond and wrote the words
to this song of an ill-fated (isn't it always?) romance.
