Hey, MattyB here…

Now, I’m a real “BAND FAN”… like, when I’m a fan of a band, I want to know every bit of info there is… every different format in which stuff was released all over the world, I want to hear every alternate version of everything… and rarities…? Let me at ‘em!

To date, the INSIDEZERO catalogue is comprised of two official releases and four promo CDs.

(16th December '02 )

The First bit of INSIDEZERO promo material is the original pressing of the Debut CD (no catalogue number) , with a glitch between tracks 3 and 4. There's not supposed to be a gap between tracks! Track listing the same as IZCD1.

(18th February '03 )

The Self-Titled Debut CD (IZCD1)

  1. Time Moves Faster
  2. What You Want
  3. Metro Street
  4. Inconsistency
  5. Miss You More
  6. You Can Walk

( 10th May '03 )

Promo Number Two (no catalogue number) is a CD we put together to promote a gig we played at the Palace in Camberwell on Sunday May 25th - Andrew Pobjoy , Kristilee and Steven Romig also played with us at that gig.

  1. Inconsistency
  2. You Can Walk
  3. Miss You More
  4. Coming Over (demo recorded at Matthew R's old place)
  5. Tumble Down (the original demo I recorded for the band)
  6. NYC (Dom, Matthew & MattyB @ 'the Olde Richmonde Playce ')

Special thanks go to Kate Peterken for helping Dom stick over 200 labels on over 100 cds

( 3rd November '03 )

The Third promo disc (IZPROMO1), is the pre-release burn we sent out to radio stations and street press before the 10/12/03 launch. Track listing the same as IZCD2. There's maybe 12 of these floating about.

( 5th December '03 )

Tumble Down single (IZCD2)

  1. Tumble Down
  2. Like I Always Do (demo)
  3. Coming Over (demo)
  4. NYC (demo)
  5. Tumble Down (club remix)

( 17th December '03 )

Finally, we have the "fan club only" Christmas Present disc (IZPROMO2) of which there's only fifty in existence.

  1. Falling (this is the original demo version I recorded and gave to the band back in September '02 - It's a much more laid-back version than the way we play it at gigs. If you've read the Song Notes, you'll know some history of this one. I ended up hooking up with the girl in question; she loved this song; I always knew when she was about to turn up at my place; I could hear this track playing in her car from 3 suburbs away!)
  2. Like I Always Do (acoustic demo- this version is how Dom originally recorded it at (in?) the Back Room for the band to get a handle on. You can already hear the bare bones ideas of the final production version here)
  3. Like I Always Do (this is the pre-single demo version with only my guitars, Steve's demo bass, Dom's demo vox and no vocals from Matthew R as yet. Richie's drums and my bv's are the same as what you currently hear on the Tumble Down single)
  4. Slap My Face (one of the demo versions we used to gauge initial interest in the new material from a couple of local labels. It's Richie on drums and Steve on bass; Dom's not featured, 'cause he was at work! Obviously Matthew R normally sings this one, as it's his. But fuck I love singing it; reckon he'll let me have it?)
  5. What I Am (a brand new one in our live set; this demo was recorded & mixed at Matthew R's place by Dom & Matthew. Who's playing bass?)
  6. The One (another demo I recorded at home for the band; I didn't put bass down on it, 'cause I wanted to hear how cool Steve could make it. and he DID!)
  7. The Last Time (Our 80's tribute. Harmony guitars are the result of no-one being around to stop me! It's Dom's demo vocal, my demo guitars, Steve's demo bass, Richie's drums that will appear on the next single and my (wrong) harmonies 'cause Matthew R wasn't around to set me straight)
  8. The End Of It (one of Matthew R's, this demo from the Back Room is him on piano & lead vocal, Domski & me on "Go to hell" bv's . We've not yet worked how to make this sit in the band forum, but I hope the day's not far off.)
  9. Tumble Down (the new single! This is the demo I recorded at home before I owned an acoustic guitar. So there's only electrics on it, and as well, there seem to some reindeer in the chorus'. Unlike the single version, the second verse bass part stays on "E" while the chords change over it. And a few (necessarily) different melody bits too. And it's a fade out!)
  10. Doing What We Can (my first thoughts on listening to this demo are: a) Why am I singing this, not Matthew (it's his song)? And b); Why am I trying not to laugh in the first verse? But now I remember. a) Matthew gave me the first verse to sing and b) he told me at length how he wanted it done and I guess it took me a while to get it! :)
  11. Million Miles (this demo was recorded in my bedroom about a million years ago. The (tasty) guitars are played by my mate Jamie Osborn (the guy with whom I wrote this), but everything else is me.)
  12. Miss You More (this song, this version, is what I often refer to as my "audition piece" for the band. It's funny what sticks out when you go back to an original demo version. I like the intro and break between 1st chorus and 2nd verse and the fact that I sing right through the first note in the chorus' instead of breaking the phrase in two. Hmm.)
  13. Unwind (recorded at the same time as the What I Am demo. Again piano and all vocals are Matthew R; acoustic guitar is Dom and who IS playing bass?)
  14. Close Your Eyes (Dom and I were due to play a Hard Rock Live gig together, and he had a brand new, as-yet-unheard song for it. So of course I wanted to have one too. I wrote this during the day and played it that night.)
  15. Believe (this and What I Am are the newest songs in our live set; it got an amazing response at our Tumble Down launch; maybe because unlike this version, I sang the whole song in tune at the gig. Or maybe just 'cause it ROCKS! I STILL have to write vocals for the bridge. Quick, before Dom puts a solo in!)
  16. Trust (I wrote and recorded this back in Ormond, long before INSIDEZERO. But I played it to mate of mine (Paul Drennan from the band STAND) not long ago, and he loved it. So here (hear?) it is!)
